Food Programs 
  • Hot Lunches
    Hot, nutritious lunches on Tuesday and Thursday, doors open at 11:30 am, lunch is served at 12 noon.
  • Hot Dinners
    Hot, nutritious dinner on Wednesdays and Saturdays, doors open at 4:00 pm, dinner served at 4:30  pm.
  • Take Home Food Basket Program
    The Mission provides a small basket of canned food for our clients to take home, as requested. If you cannot come in person, please call to arrange for those shut-ins, delivery of a small basket of food items.
  • Community Food Preparation Program
    At various times through the year,  The Mission shows clients how to prepare simple and nutritious meals for the low cost of just $3.00 per meal. Contact us for further information on times.

Community Worship 
  • Come and enjoy this relaxed and inviting community worship service. Beginning at 3:00 pm every Saturday afternoon, this faith service is lead by Morningstar Mission founder Deacon David Smith. The service follows an Anglican evening prayer format, features a variety of uplifting contemporary Christian music, and delivers an inspiring message that all will appreciate.

​Personal Development and Support 
  • Morningstar Christian Healing Ministries: By appointment only, please call 613-354-6355 to arrange a time to meet with one of our Prayer Ministry Teams.
  • Connecting Women through Crafting: Drop-ins are scheduled every Wednesday from 10 am to 11:30 am. This group meets upstairs and works on  a variety of craft items. Some supplies and sewing machines are available for use. Coffee is provided.
  • Women's Fellowship Breakfast - 2nd Saturday each month; 9:00 am, $2
  • Men's Fellowship Breakfast - 4th Saturday each month; 9:00 am, $2

Income Tax Program 
  • As an additional service to the community, Morningstar Mission participates in the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Volunteer Income Tax Preparation program. Last year over 400 hundred returns were completed free of charge for low-income people in our community. The Mission estimates it saved clients app. $18,000 in fees in 2014 and, since the inception of this program, has helped to put thousands of dollars in essential benefits back into the hands of the people who need it the most. E filing of tax returns are completed each Tuesday or Thursday during tax season from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, first come and first serve basis. Clients are asked to bring their T5 as well as any rent slips. Returns for families can be filed as well, all we require is the full name and birth date of each child.
